DUS is the latest rehashed offering by Anubhav Sinha. It was originally supposed to be made with a very different cast but along the way due to various delays the entire look and the cast was changed with a much cooler looking bunch of ppl.Sunil, Sanjay, Zayed and Shilpa belong to a special police task force who have to stop whatever catastrophe is goin to take place on the 10th of May.Sunil is a canadian police officer with a highly irritating wife!

DUS reminds one of Kaante,especially the scenes where Sanjay,Sunil,Abhishek n Zayed are strutting around like dudes on the ramp with snazzy glares n black suits. It is a very stylishly shot film done after a lot of inspiration  from many other English action flicks.
The music is very central to the movie to make it appear fast paced with the foot-tapping dus bahane right at the beginning. It also has the all-important item song with Rajasthani folk music in the background lending the unique fusion effect . It also has the music of gladiator at some parts!

Shilpa Shetty has experimented with a very different ,no-nonsense kinda look on the lines of Angelina Jolie in the recent flick Mr n mrs smith and has even done some action sequences.She looks sexy as always with the batman tatoo on her lower back to boot.

Ofcourse like any other typical bollywood movie it has its simpering actresses like Raima who is either crying hysterically or trying to make her husband die of guilt,esha who just cant look' with it ' despite all her efforts n diya in her itsy bitsy behan role where she is engaged to a guy who looks like he just got out of high school!

The high point of the movie is when the identity of jammal is disclosed but any ardent mystery ,suspense reader would have guessed who it  was! The last scene where Esha suddenly realises she is in love with Abhi is just hilarious and when She n Abhishek r in the helicopter which has a bomb with Sunil,Sanjay (cryin like a baby) and Zayed persuading him to save himself instead of the thousands of other people with Abhishek playin a martyr is too dragged.To add to this drama jammal isn't able to excape even when Sanjay is sittin and crying about Abhishek!


Overall its quite a stylishly shot dumb movie,ok timepass since the other choice is Fareb! 


P.S. the funniest  part was that Shilpa actually found an entire 'partition' called JEET on the dhokebaaz officer's computer!
